SSA’s second oldest client and their oldest Class A
implementation site. They have all the
basic modules installed and have modified BPCS to meet their Class A and JIT
needs. They are far ahead of most
people with BPCS installed on any platform.
At Seymour, he has over the years replaced much of BPCS. The MRP/CAP programs have been rewritten to perform
both functions concurrently and in less than one sixth of the time that it took
the original programs to execute. This
was accomplished by having the MRP job stream concurrently run 15+ programs
which process 9 gross-to-net calculations, a BOM requirements explosion, 3
capacity generations, and other programs that perform housekeeping and control
the process. He has modified capacity
so that it is real-time not batch. PC
programs have been integrated to BPCS to perform forecasting and EDI. His involvement with Seymour has been
continuous over the last thirteen years.
