AMP was attempting to upgrade the different functional and
language versions of BPCS that they had in the Americas, and they engaged Mr.
Martellaro to map that conversion process.
In addition, much of the growth in the company’s business plan was to be
achieved via acquisitions. He set the
plan for integrating new acquisitions into BPCS and designed the modifications
necessary to accommodate key data that had no home in BPCS or was larger than
the normal BPCS field size (ex: 35 character item numbers).
